About Us
The Planetary Atmosphere Works Laboratory (PAWs) is located at Michigan Technological University in Houghton, MI. We are a part of the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department and affiliated with the Ph.D in Atmospheric Sciences program at MTU, the Keweenaw Research Center, and the Great Lakes Research Center.
Please contact Dr. Shawn Brueshaber (srbruesh@mtu.edu) if you are interested in learning more or joining our lab.

Research focus
Our research emphasizes both terrestrial and extraterrestrial atmospheres, employing innovative techniques and data integration from various sources.
Our methods
We use numerical models, satellite data, and observations from aircraft, spacecraft, and ground-based instruments to analyze atmospheric behaviors and trends.
Our impact
Our contributions help inform the scientific understanding of meteorology and climate for any world with an atmosphere. At the local level, we seek to improve weather forecasting and real-time observations of our ever-changing atmosphere.
Dr. Shawn Brueshaber
Dr. Shawn Brueshaber is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Michigan Technological University, a Planetary Atmospheric Scientist, and member of the Juno Science Team.

Current Students
(This section in development.) We have several graduate and undergraduate students working in our lab.
